Who we are

TarotSeeker, the iPhone app and the website at tarotseeker.ai, is operated by Digitus Impudicus Limited, the controller of the personal data described here. For any question about this policy or your data, write to hello@tarotseeker.ai.

What we collect, and why

Your account

Your email address, or the identifier Apple or Google gives us when you sign in with them, so that you can sign in and your readings stay yours. If you use Sign in with Apple and hide your email, we only see Apple’s relay address.

Your settings

The preferences you choose (whether you read reversals, the deck tradition you read with, how you would like to be addressed) and the date you confirmed you are 18 or over.

Your readings

The question you ask, any background you add, your own first impression, the cards drawn or entered, the interpretation, your follow-up questions and the replies, and any feedback you give. Card of the day keeps the card, an optional intention and an optional note. We keep these so that your journal works and so that a reading can continue where you left it.

Shared readings

When you share a reading as a link, we store a copy of what you chose to share (the cards, the line you picked and, if you kept it, the question) and count how often the link is opened. Anyone with the link can see that copy until you revoke it.

Purchases

Adept is bought through Apple. Apple handles payment; we never see your card details. We receive the subscription’s status and renewal date, linked to your account, so that Adept works on every device you sign in on.

Service records

Technical records of each request to the interpretation service (which model answered, how long it took, its cost, whether safety checks passed), stored under a pseudonym rather than your account, and short-lived rate-limit counters. We use them to keep the service reliable, affordable and safe from abuse.

We do not run advertising, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

Readings for someone else

If you read for a client or a friend, please describe the question without names or details that would identify them. You are responsible for having their permission to bring their question to the reading.

Who processes your data

We rely on a small number of service providers, each bound by a data processing agreement and permitted to use your data only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase stores your account and readings and handles sign-in.
• Anthropic and OpenAI generate the interpretations. To do so they receive the question, background, cards and conversation of the reading in progress, not your email or name. Under their commercial API terms, neither uses this content to train its models.
• RevenueCat keeps the record of your subscription, linked to an anonymous account identifier.
• Apple and Google handle sign-in when you choose them, and Apple handles purchases.
• Vercel hosts this website and the shared-reading pages, and provides the cookieless page statistics described under This website.

Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

• Your account, settings, readings and journal: until you delete them or your account.
• Service records and questions that never became a reading: 90 days.
• Shared links: until you revoke them or delete the reading or your account.
• Purchase records: as long as the law requires us to keep them for tax and accounting.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask to receive it in a portable format. To delete your account and everything linked to it, or to exercise any of these rights, write to hello@tarotseeker.ai from the address you sign in with. We answer within one month. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

We rely on our contract with you to provide the service, on our legitimate interest in keeping it secure and free of abuse, and on legal obligations for purchase records.

Age

TarotSeeker is for adults. You must be 18 or over to use it, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

This website

The public pages of tarotseeker.ai set no advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a short period to operate and protect the site.

To learn which pages are read and how quickly they load, the public pages use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. They count page views, the referring site, the country, the browser and device type, and page-load timings, without cookies and without identifying you: a visitor is recognised only by a hash that is discarded within a day, and no IP address is stored. The figures are used only in aggregate. The reading app and your account are not measured this way.

Changes to this policy

Your use of TarotSeeker is also governed by our terms of use.

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and its date, and tell you in the app before a material change takes effect.
